• Heavy rain affected the capital city of Nicosia on 10 June, causing floods.
• According to local media, several homes were flooded and traffic was disrupted in several parts of the capital, as of 11 June
INDONESIA
• Severe weather, including strong winds and high waves, has been affecting Sumatra, Java and Bali islands over the past week, causing floods.
• As of 13 June, national authorities reported that over 5 900 houses were damaged, over 600 people were evacuated in Pekalongan and Banjamegar city (Central Java province) due to floods and landslides. Local media also reported that floods caused the damage of several houses and properties in Belawan city (Sumatra island) and in Yogyakarta (Java island), as of the same day.
NIGERIA
• Severe weather, including heavy rain and thunderstorms, affected Ebonyi state over 11-12 June, causing damage.
• According to local media reports, several buildings were damaged and traffic was disrupted in Abakiliki city as well as more than 5 000 people were left homeless in throughout the state due to the floods, as of 13 June.
GHANA
• Heavy rain continued to affect the country on 13 June, causing more casualties and damage
• According to media reports, the death toll has raised up to five people, two of them due to a building collapsing, as well as several houses damaged in Cape Coast city (Central region), as of 13 June.
UNITED KINGDOM
• Heavy rain and thunderstorms continued to affect several parts of England and Wales on 13 June, causing floods.
• While localised heavy showers and thunderstorms on 14-15 June bring a medium likelihood of minor impacts from surface water flooding, the overall flood risk remains low.
